Opera Mini Introduces Locked Mode for Enhanced Privacy

Opera Mini has announced the launch of Locked Mode, a new feature aimed at enhancing privacy for its users.

This addition allows for PIN-protected browsing, addressing the needs of 94% of mobile users who have requested increased password protection.
Key Features of Locked Mode:
1. User-Defined PIN Setting: Users can set a unique PIN that is independent of their device’s main lock code. This PIN secures their tabs, browsing history, and stored data within the browser.
2. Enhanced Control and Privacy: Locked Mode enables users to share their devices with family or friends without compromising their privacy. Sensitive information remains accessible only to the user.
3. Seamless Switching: Users can easily toggle between regular browsing and Locked Mode, ensuring a smooth and convenient user experience.
4. Encryption and Privacy: New tabs and data entered in Locked Mode are encrypted, with browsing history remaining private and visible only in this mode.
Activation:
Locked Mode can be activated directly from the O-Menu or through the tabs switcher view in Opera Mini.
Locked Mode represents Opera Mini’s commitment to meeting user demands for enhanced privacy while maintaining ease of use.
This feature is set to offer users greater control over their online experience, ensuring their sensitive data remains secure.
