Controversial entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charley Boy, has taken to Instagram to get at the former governor of Rivers state and current Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.
In a post shared on his IG page, CharlyBoy reflected on the number of times Wike has said he made a mistake supporting a politician who he later fell out with.
The 73-year-old described Wike as the ‘’Mistake maker of the century”.
The tweet post reads in parts; ”I made a mistake in 2016 by supporting Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as PDP National Chairman. I made another mistake in 2017 by supporting Prince Uche Secondus as PDP National Chairman. I made another mistake for supporting Tambuwal for PDP ticket in 2019 I made yet another mistake in 2021 by supporting Senator Iyorchia Ayu as PDP National Chairman. And, most recently, I made a mistake in 2023 by supporting Sir Sim Fubara as my successor”

Recall that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has told the people of Rivers State that he made a mistake and he is ready to correct the mistake at the appropriate time.
The former governor of Rivers State who spoke while addressing a grand civic reception on Saturday in Ogu-Bolo, Rivers State, honouring Chief George Thompson Sekibo’s 20 years of public service, however, did not disclose the mistake he said he made.
Wike and the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, have been engaging in a face-off that has polarised the state House of Assembly into two camps.
The minister backed Fubara to succeed him as the governor of the oil-rich state.
Wike was, however, not specific if his choice of Fubara as his successor was the mistake he said he made. But he assured the people that he would correct the mistake at the appropriate time.
“I want to say this clearly, in life we have made a mistake. I have made a mistake. I own it up and I say God forgive me. I have said all of you forgive me. But we will correct it at the appropriate time,” he declared.
In another development the Rivers state governor Siminalayi Fubara, has vowed to probe the past administration of former governor, Nyesom Wike with the initiation of a judicial panel of inquiry billed to commence investigation.
