Premier League: Arsenal Mounts Pressure on City After Defeating Manchester United

Arsenal kept their title race burning after a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford this evening.

They go above Manchester City, who have a game in hand against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night.

First half: Leandro Trossard’s 20th-minute strike separates both teams after the first 45 minutes at Old Trafford. Manchester United had zero shots on target, despite making 8 attempts. The Red Devils controlled possession with 55% against Arsenal, who had 45%.

Second half: Regardless of the attacking threat Manchester United launched in the second half, Arsenal were able to repel these threats, holding on to the 1-0 victory at full-time.

Manchester United increased their attacking prowess, recording 58% ball possession in the second half compared to their visitors who had 42%. They pushed for 6 shots on goal, getting closer twice.
