Boko Haram Terrorists Surrender to MNJTF in Lake Chad Region

—

The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), operating in Sector 3, Monguno, has recently reported the surrender of two individuals identified as Boko Haram fighters.

According to a statement issued by the MNJTF’s Chief of Military Public Information, Abubakar Abdullahi, the surrendered fighters, Ahmed Isiaka and Adam Muhammed, aged 18 and 17 respectively, are from Kolloram, Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigeria.

These individuals handed over a significant cache of arms and ammunition, including 250 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 50 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition, and a 9mm PARA round, along with personal belongings.

This announcement follows a previous report by the MNJTF on March 26, which highlighted the surrender of two terrorist commanders.

These developments highlight the efficacy of the MNJTF’s non-kinetic measures aimed at enhancing safety and security in the Lake Chad basin region, which has been severely affected by the activities of Boko Haram and other terrorist groups.

The statement reaffirmed the MNJTF’s commitment to restoring peace and facilitating the return to normalcy in the affected region.

Through coordinated efforts and strategic initiatives, the MNJTF aims to mitigate the impact of terrorist activities and create a conducive environment for the local population to rebuild their lives.
