Eid-el-Fitr: Governor Buni Clothes 5,000 Orphans in Yobe

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has generously contributed N10 million worth of wrappers and Guinea brocades to the Orphans and Vulnerable Welfare Foundation.
Ibrahim Kalallawa, the Chairman of the foundation, revealed this information during an interview with the Newsmen in Damaturu.
The donation, aimed at supporting those in need, will benefit 5,000 beneficiaries selected from the Damaturu Local Government Area.

Kalallawa said that the purpose behind providing these clothes was to bring joy to these vulnerable people during the festive period of fasting and celebration known as Eid-el-Fitr.

He also emphasized the importance of fostering a sense of belonging and care within the community for both children and adults.

Additionally, he highlighted the longstanding tradition in Yobe of supporting orphans and those facing difficulties by offering food and various essentials.

The donation of clothing aligns with this tradition, ensuring that everyone is embraced and supported.

“In a longstanding tradition of the state, orphans and vulnerable individuals receive food and non-food items during Ramadan and Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.”
