Kaduna State Government launches Tudun Biri reconstruction after drone strike

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has started building a 5.5 kilometers road made of asphalt.

This road will connect Tudun Biri to the Kaduna International Airport. He also began constructing a skill acquisition center in Tudun Biri to help the community recover.

Tudun Biri, close to the Kaduna International Airport, was mistakenly bombed by a military drone in December 2023.

This tragic event resulted in the loss of 80 lives and injuries to other residents. In response, Governor Sani promised to rebuild the community by constructing a road, school, hospital, and other necessary facilities

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Governor Sani explained that these projects aim to boost development in the farming community.

The road will make it easier for residents to access markets to sell their produce. He also emphasized the importance of job creation and reducing poverty by providing skill-acquisition opportunities for the youth.

“Two days after the unfortunate drone accident, I promised the people of Tudun Biri that by the grace of God, we will improve the infrastructure of the village, build road for them, build hospital, as well as skills acquisition center. “

“By the grace of God, today we are here to fulfill our promise. One of the most important agenda of our government is the revitalisation of rural economy. “

“The road we are breaking ground for today, which is about 5.5 kilometers, will certainly reduce the travel time of the people of this community to the town. It will also ease movement of goods.”

The Governor highlighted that the hospital being built will ensure that residents have access to primary healthcare within a reasonable distance. This initiative aims to improve the overall well-being of the community.

The District Head of Rigasa, Alhaji Aminu Idris, expressed gratitude to the Governor for fulfilling his promises.

He also requested the government to extend similar road projects to connect Tudun Biri with Buruku, benefiting other neighboring communities as well.
