Wives of army officers visit the Joint Task Force headquarters in Maiduguri

Maj Gen W. Shaibu, who leads the Joint Task Force in the North East known as Operation HADIN KAI, praised the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives’ Association (NAOWA) 7 Division Chapter for their dedication to supporting their spouses while they are away on duty.

He expressed his appreciation during a visit from Mrs. Aishatu Haruna, the Chairperson of NAOWA 7 Division Chapter, and other executive members at the Headquarters Theatre Command in Maiduguri on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

He emphasized how they provide stability at home and contribute to the upbringing of children.

The Theatre Commander reiterated that the main goal of Operation HADIN KAI is to bring peace to the North East region and promote socio-economic activities.

He explained that the operation involves three sectors, with participation from other security services, fostering a collaborative approach to addressing security challenges in the area. Gen Shaibu also noted the significant improvement in the region’s security situation.

Expressing gratitude, Gen Shaibu thanked the officers’ wives for their unwavering support and encouraged them to continue praying for lasting peace in the North East and the entire nation.

During the visit, Mrs. Aishatu Haruna congratulated the Theatre Commander on his appointment and extended condolences to him and the Nigerian Army for the loss of personnel during operations.

She prayed for the souls of the fallen soldiers and urged divine intervention against those perpetrating violent acts.

Mrs. Haruna expressed her hope that the Theatre Commander would lead Operation HADIN KAI with wisdom and achieve greater success.

She reassured him of their commitment to managing the home front effectively, thus easing the burden on military officers.
