Plateau state gov’t has launched Tin City Metro to alleviate transportation challenge

The Plateau State Government has introduced Tin City Metro to help people move around more easily.

They got fourteen buses from Germany for this. This is because the cost of moving around has gone up after the government stopped giving subsidies on petrol.

The Secretary to the State Government, Architect Samuel Jatau, talked to reporters while looking at the Terminus area of Jos City Center.

He said they need to make sure the roads there are clear for cars to move freely. People who sell things by the road will have to move to another place for some time.

The government will build markets nearby so that not everyone is selling things in one place. They are doing this before starting the buses.

The city center and other places where the buses will go will be cleared. People selling things by the roads should leave before the government takes serious action. The government wants to make Jos and nearby areas cleaner and safer.

The General Manager of Plateau Express Services, Mr. Samuel Jok Gwott, asked traders in the city center to help the government. This will make it easier for the buses and other vehicles to move freely.

The government is making the bus fares cheaper by fifty percent. Everyone can get a card to use the buses, and they will sell these cards in the state capital. They will start with eight routes, but they will add more buses later.

Mr. Gwott asked the people of the state to support the government’s plans to help everyone. The government needs everyone’s help to succeed.
