Charles Inojie, who portrays the main character in the hit comedy Family TV Drama, Mr. Lucky Johnson, announced on his Instagram account that the Nigerian TV series “The Johnsons” will come to an end after airing for 13 seasons on Africa Magic.
The series, which depicts the challenges faced by an average Nigerian family in Lagos, has been acclaimed for 13 years as Africa’s most-watched show on television and a favorite among families.
In his announcement, Inojie expressed gratitude for the 13 years of success and described the show’s conclusion as “taking a bow.”
Since its inception, the show has seen a lot of changes with Ada Ameh who played the main role ‘Emu’ tragically dying after collapsing in Warri on 17 July 2022 at the age of 48. Before her death, the actor had suffered mental health issues following the death of her daughter.
Chinedu Ikedieze portrayed Efetobore Johnson, the eldest son known for his brilliance and love for spelling.
Olumide Oworu played Tari Johnson, the adventurous third youngest child who often got into trouble with his lies.
Ada Ameh starred as Emuapor Johnson, the family’s backbone, known for her mispronunciations.
Sharon Abadoni/Susan Pwajok took on the role of Blessing Johnson, the youngest who always got her way.
Charles Inojie depicted Lucky Johnson, the frugal head of the family turned scientist.
Seun Adebajo Osigbesan played Jennifer Johnson, the eldest daughter with a strong bond with her mother. She eventually gets pregnant by her boyfriend, Goodluck, and gives birth to a girl child named Science.
