More Zonal Winners Emerge at FCT Sports Festival

—

The FCT School Sports Fiesta is happening right now. It’s where public and private schools for kids of different ages compete in sports.

In one zone called Kwali, a junior secondary school named JSS Kwali won against another school called JSS Bonugo with a score of 1-0 in football.

Now, they’re going to play against JSS Barko in the final match to see who goes to the big final.

In another match, GSTC beat GSS Dangara with a score of 1-0 to win in senior secondary football.

There was also a table tennis match where Habili Kure from GSTC Kwali won against someone from GSS Kwali.

In the senior girls’ handball and senior boys’ volleyball, GSS Dangara didn’t have to play in the semi-final because they were already qualified for the final.

Mr. Aboki Baba-Danladi, who is in charge of organizing the sports in the Kwali zone, said he wished more schools had participated, but he’s happy with how competitive the games have been. He believes the students who made it to the final will do well.

At another center called Tunga Maje, GSS Zuba and GSSS Tunga Maje were the best schools on Days 3 and 4 of the games.

They played football, volleyball, and table tennis with a lot of energy, trying to win for their schools and also secure their spots in the big final.
