Fans Mourn As Truck Crushes Female OAP To Death In Abuja

Reports have it that a heavy duty truck loaded with sand crushed a radio presenter who works with Nigeria Info F.M 95.1, Abuja, Deborah Ohamara, inside a moving vehicle along the ever-busy airport road Lugbe, FCT.

 

Though as at the time of filing this report, details of the accident were still sketchy, however, it was said that Ohamara, was driving from the airport axis when a vehicle hit her car from behind which led to her colliding into the moving truck.

It was gathered that the incident which occurred by 3pm on Monday, January 15, 2024, at around the popular Aso Estate junction Lugbe, also caused severe traffic gridlock, making it difficult for commuters to ply the road.

It was reported that vehicles coming from both sides of the highway were stuck following the blocked movement as personnel of both Federal Road Safety Corps, Police and FCTA’s traffic management department tried to evacuate the scene. While the truck driver survived in the fatal accident, one person was said to have a sustained a mild injury.

 

The deceased, popularly known as the golden voice of Naija Info F.M, is known for her compelling aura in radio presentation.

The Cross River State born started her career as a newscaster with the Cross River Broadcasting Corporation, CRBC TV as well as a presenter on 105.5 Paradise FM Calabar.
