Famous American singer, Mariah Carey, has broken the all-time record for most Spotify streams in a single day on this year’s Christmas Eve, 24th December 2023.
The ‘All I want for Christmas is you’ crooner did an acoustic of the song and shared on her X handle (formerly Twitter) on Monday 25th December 2023 with the caption, “Had to do it! Merry Christmas Eve!!!.”
The hit song, “All I Want For Christmas Is You” was streamed 23,701,697 times.
The singer shattered the record, which she set on Christmas Eve last year when the song was streamed 21,273,357 times.
Mariah is known for breaking this record every year.
In 2020, the single was streamed just over 17.2 million times on Christmas Eve and went on to break the record in 2021.
The popular music star has been a queen of Christmas battle with Brenda Lee this year, and for the first time since Mariah’s reign began, Brenda snagged the number 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 for one week during the lead-up to Christmas.
