It’s the real housewives of Lagos so expect nothing less!
We had a playdate, a quarrel, and some fun in the eighth episode of The Real Housewives of Lagos! In this episode, Tania organized a book reading that ultimately resulted in the Mariam and Chioma disagreements from earlier episodes blowing up. This is an in-depth analysis of every one of the juicy bits that emerged.
After going missing for the previous two episodes, Iyabo made a spectacular return. After being treated to a refreshing spa date by Mariam, they caught up and talked about her accusations that Iyabo and Chioma are not real friends because of how they handled Laura the previous year.
The moment Tiannah revealed a sensitive part of herself, the episode took an intense turn. When Tiannah met with her friend Queen, she broke down in tears and talked about her health worries. She also disclosed that her mother had suffered from thyroid cancer. What a range of feelings this has!
The worst possible playdate! Tania planned what seemed to be a playdate to read her book, Sarai’s Culture Day, but it ended up becoming more than that. A friendly get-together between mothers and daughters soon turned into a battle of wars between Mariam and Chioma. The reason for this dispute is Mariam’s statement, “It’s the fakery for me.”
Shall we take a little look back? Mariam remarked that Chioma and Iyabo were playing phony by being nice with Laura following what had transpired the previous year during the de-stressing session that she had arranged in the first episode. At Zaza, this was brought up once more, almost starting a heated dispute. Chioma and Mariam getting in each other’s faces signaled the end of the argument. Mariam said something extremely upsetting when she said that Chioma wouldn’t quarrel in front of kids if she had her own.
After the argument, Mariam was having a good time with Tiannah in a virtual reality (VR) club, while Chioma was crying to Iyabo. It was a very ironic scene. They talked about Mariam’s actions and her love of drama this season while they were there. In typical Mariam fashion, she stood up for herself, saying, “I’m outspoken and I say it the way it is!”
Laura is organizing her white wedding amidst the chaos! After teaming up with Faith, Laura went in search of her ideal wedding band—a moving experience that revealed a different side of her among the confusion.
The birthday celebration for Faith Morey was the climax of the episode. The enthusiasm was at an all-time high with Denrele hosting! Delicious food was served during the gathering, and the ladies showed up in full form even without Mariam. There was no way Mariam would be invited because of the current situation with the raccoon and the chimpanzee. There was glitz, humor, and a hint of tension throughout the occasion!
