Chat GPT Maker, Sam Altman Returns To OpenAI

—

OpenAI announced that Sam Altman, one of its co-founders, will be returning as the CEO. This comes after the board had previously removed him from his position. They shared this news online, mentioning that Sam will lead again, along with a new team including Bret Taylor, Larry Summers, and Adam D’Angelo.
Last week, the board of OpenAI sacked Sam. Then Satya Nadella, the head of Microsoft, said he hired Sam for a different role involving artificial intelligence research. However, on Tuesday, Sam mentioned that he has the support of Satya Nadella to become the CEO of OpenAI again.
In his online message, Sam expressed his excitement about returning to OpenAI with the new team and support from Microsoft. When Sam was asked to leave, many employees at OpenAI said they might quit. Most of the 770 staff members wrote a letter to the media. They said they’d leave unless the board members responsible for removing Sam also resigned.
Ilya Sutskever, one of OpenAI‘s co-founders, apologized for being part of the decision to remove Sam. He said he never meant to harm the company. Even though big investors wanted Sam to return, OpenAI chose Emmett Shear as the new CEO instead.
