Reactions continue to trail the grisly murder of a 62-year-old retired teacher, Mrs. Iyanuoluwa Adamolekun. The sad incident, which happened in Arigidi Akoko, Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, was greeted by widespread public condemnation.
According to sources, upon closure from school, her granddaughter found the lifeless body of the deceased lying in a pool of blood in her residence at Similoluwa quarters in Arigidi Akoko. Reacting to the incident, Mr. Rotimi Adamolekun, the deceased’s son, described the murder of his mother as terrible.
While lamenting what could have motivated the assailants to commit such a heinous act, Rotimi eulogizes his mother as a kind, caring, and God-fearing woman.
As of the time of filing this report, The News Chronicle gathered that the perpetrators had carted away the deceased’s mobile phone and box, even as the case was being reported to the Nigerian Police in the area.
