So many decisions were against us; Erik ten Hag laments horrible loss to Copenhagen

Manchester United’s first team manager, Erik ten Hag has lamented on how many decisions have gone against them the whole of this season. Manchester blew away a 2-0 first half win to lose 4-3 at full time to Copenhagen in their UEFA Champions League fourth round group game.

Hojlund scored United’s first two goals in the first half, while the third came from captain Bruno Fernandez who converted from the spot kick.

The Dutch, while speaking in his post match conference claimed the season has been against them in various outrageous ways:

“This squad is resilient. The entire season, so many decisions are against us, so many setbacks or injuries. And every time there is a spirit and there is a fight, and we will keep going because I’m sure, as I said, it will turn. Built on one moment in the season, it will turn in our favour.”

The manager, who is confident that United can still make it to the knock round alone if they beat Galatasaray, asserted that the red card decision on Marcus Rashford was rash:

“Yeah. It’s clear. We are very disappointed, because you play very good. I think we started the game so well, the best minutes of this season. We are winning the game and I think the red card changes everything. And then we conceded two goals before half-time which should never have counted. The first is offside, the second is a penalty. Four penalties against [in the Champions League] and I’d say three are very debatable.”

And what do you think of the red card?

“It’s also harsh. I think he went for the ball and the referee has such a long time. They need such a long time to make it a red card.”

Manchester United’s qualification fate relies on a tremendous away victory at Galatasaray
