The love story of Steve Harvey’s daughter Lori Harvey and Damson Idris has come to an end after just a little more than a year of dating.
In a joint statement on November 7, Lori and Damson told The Hollywood Reporter, “We are at a point in our lives where our individual paths require our full attention and dedication. We part ways remaining friends with nothing but love and respect for each other and the time we shared together.”
Lori Harvey and Damson Idris were first suspected to be in a relationship in December after being photographed on a dinner date in Los Angeles. Then, a month later, Damson gave a special shoutout to the model on her 26th birthday, posting a picture of himself kissing her cheek and a heart emoji. The 32-year-old captioned the Jan. 13 PDA pic, ‘Happy Birthday Nunu.’
The couple made their first public appearance together at the red carpet premiere of Snowfall‘s final season.
Prior to her relationship with Damson, Lori had dated Michael B. Jordan for more than a year before their breakup in June 2022. In an interview with E! News Adrienne Bailon-Houghton that month Lori expressed that, “love serves as the foundation for everything.”
