A poll that sought to know which social issues Nigerians feel deserves urgent attention, showed that security sits at the top of the priority list for Nigerians according to the responses gathered. The poll was conducted by The News Chronicle as part of its continued effort to lend voice on contentious issues in the country and beyond.
Respondents were asked to select between;
a) Infrastructure
b) Security
c) Education
d) Employment
e) Healthcare
In the poll 83.3% of the respondents chose security as the primary social issue which needs attention, while 16.7% are of the view that employment is the main social issue to be tackled. On the other hand, the issues of infrastructure, education and healthcare had a score of 0% as they received zero (0) votes.
The poll ran from 19th October to 25th October 2023.
