Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has successfully undergone two major surgeries.
The news was shared by his adopted daughter, Jazmine Okafor, via Instagram.
Mr. Ibu, who recently celebrated his 63rd birthday in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos, had earlier appealed for financial support to prevent the amputation of his leg.
In a heartfelt video posted on Instagram, he expressed his need for prayers and assistance, fearing the possibility of losing his leg.
Providing an update on her father’s condition, Jazmine revealed that Mr. Ibu maintained his sense of humor even after the surgeries, displaying remarkable strength.
She expressed her optimism for his recovery and praised his resilience, stating that he appeared stronger than he had been in the past three weeks.
