Super Eagles announce fixtures for 2026 World Cup qualifiers

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have announced the date for their 2026 World Cup qualifier games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, scheduled for next month.

The three – times African Champions will clash with Lesotho on the 17 of November 2023 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, and will travel for an away tie against Zimbabwe three days later at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali, Rwanda.

Nigeria missed the last edition of the FIFA World Cup held by Qatar after a 1-1 draw at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja. Ghana qualified with an away goal scored by Thomas Partey. Troost Ekong leveled up the game to 1-1 from the spot kick, but his efforts weren’t enough to see Nigeria through.
