D Banj’s Sister, Taiwo Oyebanjo, Found Guilty By Court

Taiwo Oyebanjo, Dotun Kayode’s ex-wife and singer D’banjs younger sister , has been found guilty of contempt by the court because she would not let Dotun visit his children.

After being found guilty of contempt of court, Taiwo Oyebanjo—who filed for divorce in Abuja—may have to spend time in jail.

Taiwo Oyebanjo was found guilty of violating the court’s ruling over the couple’s shared custody of their children by a high court in Dukpa, Abuja.

Recall that in suit No. GWD/PET/25/21, Dotun and his divorced wife were granted joint custody of the children after Dotun asked for it in April 2022 and both of them first gave their approval.

Despite the court’s decision, Taiwo has refused to let her estranged spouse access to their children since December 2022, giving no explanation. Dotun filed a lawsuit as a result, which led to a recent, intense, and violent social media feud between the two.

The court determined that Taiwo had broken the order when she refused to grant Dotun Kayode custody and access to the children in December 2022, and it found her guilty of doing so. Additionally, Taiwo was given a 30-day deadline by the court to pay N200,000 or risk jail time until the fine was paid.

The lawyers for Dotun’s estranged wife reportedly attempted to rescind their representation after the decision was rendered, almost creating a small incident. Still, the case was rescheduled for December 11th for the trial.

These two have been exchanging words for the past couple weeks and court settlement is the best option especially since their children are involved.
