Barcelona have confirmed that their talisman Robert Lewandowski has sprained his ankle following a test carried out on the Polish forward. Lewandowski was withdrawn in the 36th minute during their second Champions League game against FC Porto.
The club further revealed that Robert will not be in action until he is completely healed.
“Tests conducted this Thursday morning have revealed that Robert Lewandowski has sprained his left ankle and will be out of action until the injury heals.
The Polish striker was replaced by Ferran Torres after 34 minutes of Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Porto. He has scored six goals and given four assists in his 10 appearances so far this season.”
Ferran Torres replaced Robert Lewandowski in the 36th and scored the only goal of the stringent encounter just before the half-time.
