In a very shocking manner, Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has invalidated the victory of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, leading a three-man panel, announced the decision via zoom, declaring Emmanuel Ombudagu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the rightful winner.
Justice Ezekiel held that the petitioner successfully demonstrated their case beyond a reasonable doubt and deserves his victory.
Report has it that notable political figures, including ex-Governors Abdullahi Adamu and Tanko Al-makura, were present at the court during the proceedings.
It should also be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had initially declared Abdullahi Sule as the winner in the governorship election held in Nasarawa State in March, this was follwed by protests across the state as it was seen by many as a wrong declaration.
