The agent of Victor Osimhen has asserted that his client could take a legal action against his club, Napoli, following a horrendous video posted by the club on their verified TikTok account.Â
In the now-deleted video, the handler of Napoli’s TikTok account posted an irrational and mockery footage of Osimhen’s penalty miss during their last league game away at Bologna. Napoli played a full-time barren draw, which is their second successive draw in the league.
Roberto Calenda, Victor Osimhen’s agent, harshly attacks Napoli:
“What happened today on the club’s official TikTok profile is unacceptable. A video mocking Victor was made public and then, albeit belatedly, it was deleted.”
“It is a very serious incident that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that Victor is suffering due to media trials and fake news. We reserve the right to take legal action against the club.”
Victor Osimhen, while arriving at the club’s hotel today, snubbed pleasantries from friends and has deleted every post relating to Napoli on his Instagram account.
Osimhen’s 26 goals in his 32 league appearances for the Azzurri last season aided the club to their first Scudetto after 33 years. He has struggled with form since the start of the new season, just scoring 3 goals in his 5 appearances.
