The International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA, Kaduna Branch, have assured the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC of its support in the fight against corruption and other economic and financial crimes.
Aisha Abdu Muhammad, Chairperson FIDA, Kaduna, gave the assurance when she led officials of the association on a courtesy visit to Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC.
She noted that the activities of the Commission over years have helped in improving public consciousness on the activities of fraudsters.
Responding, ACE.1 Aisha Abubakar, Acting Zonal Commander, assured the body of EFCC’s readiness to work closely with them as they are also veritable stakeholders in the anti-corruption fight.
She noted that women have a major role to play in ensuring that children are well monitored and put on the right pedestal in order to become citizens that the society will be proud of.
The Acting Zonal Commander whilst thanking the body for the visit added that the Commission has enjoyed the support of lawyers over the years.
