Manchester United new midfielder, Sofyan Amrabat, withdraws from the Moroccan team

Manchester United deadline day summer signing, Sofyan Amrabat has been withdrawn from the Atlas Lions squad following a worrying injury he sustained.

According to Manchester United, head coach Walid Regragui has called up Yahya Jabrane to replace Amrabat, who will return to work at Carrington, following his arrival from Fiorentina in a season-long loan deal on deadline day.

Morocco will face Liberia in their last AFCON qualifiers games on Saturday, although the 2022 World Cup semi finalists have already booked their spot in the 2024 African Cup of Nations billed to take place in Ivory Coast between January to February.

Manchester United unveiled Amrabat this week as the last club summer arrival on loan with the option to buy from fiorentina.‏

Amrabat was part of the Atlas Lions team that made history in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar – becoming the first African country to reach such a landmark.
