A new musician going by the name of Lifesize Teddy has been signed, according to Mavin Records.
The new Mavin, a rapper, artist, and writer, is diverse, talented, multifaceted, and completely surprising. Lifesize Teddy, also known as Treasure Apiafi Banigo, finds inspiration in both the unusual and the ordinary.
Lifesize Teddy was raised on the picturesque island of Bonny in the Rivers State and has always been drawn to things, narratives, and concepts that have sentimental meaning. She enjoys normal life, but she also finds spirituality and the underlying beauty and potential in the unexpected to be appealing. Her travels and story are told in this.
On the album’s opening track, Air, Teddy offers a light song that aptly demonstrates her preference for rap. Air introduces Teddy the Rapper, a smooth, astute, and unquestionably talented student of the game. She will go on to explore a variety of genres on the tape.
Hypnotic offers a brief story of desire in the catchy, high-energy song “Hypnotic,” which slickly mixes pop and hip hop. Like the subject matter of the song, the sound and delivery are fast-paced and lively. The third song on the album, “Butterflies,” is arguably its most promising from a commercial standpoint. The relevant theme of teenage love—its ebullience and electricity—is explored in the movie Butterflies. It addresses the passion present in unrestrained romance in a straightforward and heartfelt manner.
The project’s second-to-last song is called “John Wick.” Teddy is exploring here. Lifesize Teddy attempts to explore the street pop/afrobeats split with a soundscape typified by a thumping baseline, edgy lyrics, and a catchy hook. In classic John Wick form, she shows no mercy.
Prophecy, a self-affirming autobiography, serves as the project’s conclusion. The artist describes herself as “a living prophecy” in this piece. A deserving curtain drawer, Prophecy is a heartfelt conclusion and a declaration of purpose as Lifesize Teddy launches her attempt to rule the world.
