2023: APGA Will Win More Governorship, Legislative Seats- APGA Chairman, Oye

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Dr Victor Ike Oye says APGA provides Nigerian politicians a better political alternative and is poised to make in-roads into many states of the federation come the 2023 General Elections.

Oye made the disclosure on Friday during a meeting of the National Working Committee of the Party, which he presided over, at APGA national secretariat, Abuja.

Among those in attendance were former Minister of Information and APGA National Secretary, Chief Labaran Maku, the Deputy National Chairman, North, Alhaji Adamu, Deputy National Chairman, South, Chief Uchenna Okogbuo, and all the national vice Chairmen and other members of APGA NWC.

At the meeting, developments at the just-concluded Anambra Governorship election that brought the Governor-Elect, Profesor Chukwuma Soludo and His Deputy, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim reviewed.

According to the APGA National Chairman, the Anambra election was evident to the fact that most politicians in Nigeria, particularly in the Southeast, have found APGA as their only political haven and are hurriedly taking advantage of that, by trying to join.

He noted that while other political parties are overwhelmed with irreversible political crisis, APGA has been gaining grounds and consolidating on its efforts at giving Nigerians the democracy they have always yearned for.

According to Oye, Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano has performed creditably as an APGA governor and as such, has set a positive precedent that APGA as a political will continue to tap from, in line with the ideals of the founding fathers.

He expressed the hope that the governor-elect, Professor Soludo will definitely do more and improve on the established legacies of the Obiano administration.

“Professor Soludo has stated categorically that he has a social contract with Anambra people, and that he will bring his wealth of international and national experience, to bear in developing Anambra State.

“We have utmost confidence that he will make Anambra State a haven for investors and even for leisure seekers, turn around infrastructural development and entrench security through the provision of jobs for the youths and gainful partnerships with the private sector,” he enthused.

Oye said riding on the wings of the APGA ideology and the outstanding performance of Governor Obiano, APGA is going to advance and even overtake other major political parties during the 2023 general elections.

“APGA is consistently rising, spreading all over the country as the most formidable political party, given its pacesetting antecedents in all democratic ramifications.

“The Nigerian people have seen that the national chairman of APGA is very transparent, diligent and determined to take the party to the next level, unlike other parties and are therefore, indicating interest to join from all over the country and even from diaspora,” Oye noted.

The APGA national chairman commended the NWC and other party faithful for their maximum cooperation since his inception of office, adding that as a result, even the defectors are full of regrets and are making frantic efforts to reverse their mistakes of decamping to other parties.
