A depressed Nigerian woman has taken to the public to seek the advice of her online in-laws over an issue she is having in her marriage.
In a post shared by social influencer Amanda Chisom, the woman said her husband has been keeping her at bay since she confronted him over his extramarital affairs.
She wrote:
Dear mandy, thank you for the good work you are doing. Please hide my identity. I would like your family to advise me on this issue because I’m dying slowly. I have been with my husband for the past 16 years and felt we were happy together. He comes home every 9 months to spend at least three months in Nigeria. Since a year and six months he’s been acting funny towards me just because I confronted him about his numerous calls with his side chicks whenever he comes back from Australia. Since then he and his friends have tagged me as a bad woman. In so many occasions he will wait for me to sleep before he starts calling them, when he notices that the door is open or suspects that someone is listening to him, he will quickly drop the call or change the topic.
Today makes it two months that he hasn’t called except I call. A year ago I mistakenly saw a message he sent to one of his side chicks telling her that he is not married and another message to another girl telling her that he is divorced, I decided to ignore.
I was shocked last week when I received a message on my Facebook asking me if i am mr. ……. wife I said yes, she said Aunty I have been watching your activities on Facebook secretly and you seem like a nice woman but wonder why your husband would lie that you died during childbirth, at first I was surprised and asked her to prove what she just said, she sent me a screenshot of their chat, my husband’s phone number and his Di…..k and then proceed by saying aunty be careful he wants you out of his life. Ever since I received that massage, I have been so depressed, I don’t know what to think or feel. Right now who do I run to? where do I go from here?
