Popular Social media figure, Reno Omokri, has alleged that many Nigerians never liked popular singer, Burna Boy.
This is coming after the Nigerian powerhouse Burna Boy took home Best Global Music Album for ‘Twice As Tall’ at the 2021 GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony.
In a post on his Facebook page, Omokri wrote “Let us be perfectly honest, many Nigerians never liked Burna Boy from the get-go (be honest enough to admit it).
“The world also did not like Burna ab initio. You know who liked Burna? Burna! He liked and believed in himself. And when you like and believe in yourself, that self belief is so infectious, that others just can’t help but like you back.
“Learning to love yourself is still the greatest love of all. That is why Christ said ‘love your neighbour as yourself. Because if you don’t love yourself, you can’t love your neighbour or your neighbourhood, and they in turn, will not love you”
