Not by birth alone — but by conviction and by biography.
I am Ijebu man from Southwest Nigeria, born in Enugu, heart of Igboland, by a Northern mother. Yoruba by ancestry, Igbo by birthplace, Northern by maternal blood — three regions in one body. That is why I cannot be tribalist. I am already Nigeria.
I and some patriotic Nigerians represent this factor of unity — we refuse to be Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani in isolation — we are all, in one body.
In the last decade, political gladiators feasted on our division — slicing us along ethnic and religious lines for political gains. They win when we hate. They lose when we unite.
After Chief Osita Chidoka’s thrilling presentation on Uche, Uchu and Egwuchukwu, I dug into Igbo word-bank. What I discovered blew my mind.
Igbo language is not just communication; it is repository of philosophy. So I interrogated Igbo concept of success and found FOUR PILLARS — which are not Igbo alone, but Nigerian.
THE FOUR PILLARS OF SUCCESS OF NDI IGBO — AS NATIONAL CREED:
1. IGBA MBO — HARD WORK — “Aka aja-aja na-ebute onu mmanu” — dirty hand brings oil to mouth. Yoruba says “Ise ni oogun ise”. Hausa says “Aiki da zuciya”. No nation grows by sharing 52.68% at center — it grows by working hands from Onitsha to Ibadan to Kano.
2. AGWA OMA — GOOD CHARACTER — Hard work takes you somewhere; character keeps you there. Yoruba calls it Omoluabi. Hausa/Fulani calls it Mutunci da Gaskiya. My 2014 submission to National Conference Secretariat warned: behemoth without character cannot stand. A country fixed together with falsehood can never progress.
3. IKPACHAPU AKU ANYA — PRUDENCE — Not just making money, but preserving, multiplying, transmitting. “Ndi Igbo na-agba ego mmiri” — money is plant to water. 12 years after my downsizing documents to National Conference Secretariat — have we downsized? No. We upsized waste. Prudence says: 36 to 4 regions, scrap House, trim Senate to 2 per state, 8 ministries career heads, 5 ministries per state, 4 Local Governments.
4. ITU EGWU CHINEKE — FEAR OF GOD — Ofo na Ogu — truth, justice, righteousness. “Onye riri ihe ka Chineke ya, nyelem” — Anything greater than my God, count me out. Righteousness exalts a nation.
Put together:
Igba Mbo builds it. Agwa Oma sustains it. Ikpachapu Aku Anya multiplies it. Itu Egwu Chineke regulates it.

Born Port Harcourt Sept 1, 1940. Igbo father Ovim, Abia. Fulani mother Katsina. Wife Yoruba Abeokuta/Ofada + Kalabari Abonnema. Speaks Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba. Soldier, Governor Imo, twice Foreign Minister, Senator. Miniature Map.
PROOF 2 — GENERAL MURTALA RAMAT MOHAMMED — PAN-NIGERIAN GENERAL:
Born Kano Nov 8, 1938 to Gyanawa Fulani father Riskuwa and Kanuri/Fulani Jobawa mother Uwani Ramatu. Married Yoruba wife Hafsat Ajoke. Appointed Ndubuisi Kanu into SMC and as Governor Imo 1976 — first Igbo in SMC since 1966 — plus Dan Ibekwe and others as Ministers. 200 days — 7 states, Abuja capital. Married Yoruba, empowered South, believed One Nigeria.
PROOF 3 — THE ADELEKE’S OF EDE, OSUN — IGBO MOTHER, YORUBA FATHER:
Nnenna born Igbo family Akwete, Abia. Married Chief Raji Ayoola Adeleke, Ede Yoruba, Balogun of Ede. That marriage brought together two different parts of Nigeria. Only Nigerian woman whose two sons became governors of same state — Isiaka first Executive Governor Osun, Ademola current Governor — plus billionaire Adedeji, father of Davido. Yoruba father, Igbo mother, Muslim, Christian — Miniature Map dynasty.
Four families — Odusanya, Nwachukwu, Murtala, Adeleke — prove what gladiators deny: We are already mixed. We are already one. Division is invention for votes.

66th Independence must deliver 2027 flawless election — BVAS, IReV, real-time — because no behemoth rigged with falsehood can downsize itself.
My dream — Like MLK, I have dream — of Nigeria where Four Pillars become national curriculum — where child in Sokoto learns Igba Mbo, child in Nnewi learns Omoluabi, child in Ibadan learns Mutunci — where Miniature Map becomes majority.
