35-year-old irresponsible husband squanders ₦700,000 wife gave to him to pay rent

A troubled Nigerian woman has taken to the public to share her ordeal about her marriage.

In a post shared on Facebook by Social Influencer Fegor Chime, the woman who preferred anonymity said her husband lost his job three years ago and has refused to start a business since he is unable to get a job.

According to the woman, she recently gave her husband the sum of seven hundred thousand to pay their house rent only to discover later that the man did not pay the rent and the money has evaporated.

She wrote:

Good afternoon mummy Fegor I am 33 while my husband is 35.

Three years ago, he lost his job and i have been the one catering for the family. I have tried persuading him to start up a business while waiting for a new job but he said he can’t do business.

My husband has this particular girl he has been dating for sometime which always brought issues in our home, apart from that he his kind, I kept praying for God to touch him as I pray they grew more stronger.

Last month I gave him our house rent to send to landlord because he normally sends to him 700 thousand naira which i gave him to pay.
I thought he had payed not until yesterday I saw our landlord in our house asking for the rent I was shocked. Only for him to tell me that he was scammed. Last weekend this man didn’t sleep in the house for 3 days, now this.
My heart is bleeding right now.
Please what do you advised i do?
