Atletico Madrid Reject €75m Victor Osimhen Offer

Atletico Madrid have reportedly turned down a €75 million proposal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, despite the Galatasaray forward showing interest in a move to Spain.

Reports suggest that Osimhen was even willing to take a pay cut to join Diego Simeone’s ranks. Nevertheless, Atletico are said to be hesitant about such a significant deal.

The Spanish side is not particularly interested in signing the Nigerian forward as they still consider Julian Alvarez as their priority target in the center of attack.

The News Chronicle reports Osimhen’s eagerness to join Atletico shows the young forward’s desire to work with Simeone. The Argentine tactician is known for having built his team around a solid unit of aggressive defenders.

While Osimhen’s contract with Galatasaray runs through 2029, the Osimhen has attracted the attention of several European sides.

In particular, Barcelona, Arsenal, and Tottenham are said to have expressed their interest in the Nigerian striker. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur reportedly made a formal offer worth more than 55 million euros for the player.

Nevertheless, Galatasaray is asking for a significantly higher sum, so there is still room for Osimhen’s agents to negotiate before the deadline.
