28-Year-Old Businessman Convicted for Stealing Tricycle in Jos

A Jos Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday sentenced a 28-year-old businessman, Sunday Morgat, to two years imprisonment for stealing a tricycle.

Morgat was convicted after pleading guilty to a charge of theft filed against him by the police.

Delivering judgment, Magistrate Irene Pati sentenced the defendant to two years in prison, with an option of an N80,000 fine.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that the case was reported on May 16 at the “A” Division Police Station by officers on routine patrol.
