2027: US Sanctions Plot to Weaken Kwankwaso— Galadima

A stalwart of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, has downplayed reports linking the United States to alleged sanctions against the party’s former presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, describing the narrative as a political scheme to weaken him ahead of future elections.

Speaking during an interview on ARISE News on Thursday, monitored by The News Chronicle, Galadima argued that the claims were being amplified to erode Kwankwaso’s growing political strength and influence nationwide.

He maintained that the former Kano State governor remains a formidable force whose popularity could pose a major challenge in any credible electoral contest.

“If there is a free and fair election, no presidential candidate can match Rabiu Kwankwaso,” Galadima said.

Galadima stressed that attempts to cast a shadow over Kwankwaso’s reputation would not diminish his support base or political relevance ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Galadima further alleged that the narrative surrounding the purported sanctions was being driven by media interests, singling out THISDAY as promoting claims he believes are intended to politically undermine Kwankwaso ahead of another possible presidential run.
