Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has named Mr. Jerry Adams as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election, describing the nomination as a bold affirmation of his administration’s commitment to unity, justice, inclusion, and equitable governance.
Announcing the decision after what he described as extensive consultations, deep reflection, and earnest prayers, the governor said the choice of Adams was driven by principle rather than politics, insisting it reflects the values that have shaped his administration since taking office on May 29, 2023.
Uba Sani said Kaduna’s ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity remains one of its greatest assets, stressing that his government has deliberately pursued policies aimed at strengthening peaceful coexistence and ensuring that every community enjoys a fair share of development.
He noted that his administration has expanded investments in critical sectors, including road infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, water supply, rural development, and social protection, with projects spread across all 23 local government areas to guarantee balanced growth and inclusive governance.
The governor described Jerry Adams as an accomplished public servant, seasoned tax administrator, and respected institution builder, crediting his leadership of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service with boosting the state’s internally generated revenue through innovation, transparency, and professionalism.
According to Uba Sani, Adams possesses the integrity, humility, and leadership qualities needed to help drive the administration’s vision of a more united, secure, and prosperous Kaduna State.
Calling for widespread support, the governor urged residents to rally behind the ticket regardless of ethnic, religious, or regional affiliations, saying the collective mission remains to build a Kaduna where every citizen enjoys equal opportunities and a strong sense of belonging.
He also pledged to consolidate the achievements of the past three years, promising to sustain policies that will deepen peace, accelerate development, and deliver lasting prosperity across the state.
