The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the successful upload of the names of its 2027 presidential candidate, running mate, and National Assembly candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal.
The party’s National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, made the disclosure in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja.
Mohammed described the development as a significant milestone and a clear demonstration of the party’s commitment to its earlier pledge to fully participate in the 2027 general elections.
According to him, the successful submission of the candidates’ details marks another important step in the PDP’s preparations for the polls.
“Today, we have taken another decisive step toward fulfilling that promise,” he said.
He added that the party was awaiting the completion of the upload of its governorship and State Houses of Assembly candidates.
Mohammed congratulated PDP members across the country and in the diaspora, expressing confidence in the party’s future.
“As we await the conclusion of the upload of our governorship and State Houses of Assembly candidates, I, on behalf of the National Working Committee of our party, extend my heartfelt congratulations to all PDP members across Nigeria and around the world.
“Together, we will continue to build a stronger, more united party and a better future for our nation,” he said.
