The Jagaban Grassroots Movement has congratulated Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, on his appointment as Deputy Director, Finance, of the Presidential Campaign Council.
The group’s Coordinator, Samuel Obasun, conveyed the congratulatory message in a statement issued on Sunday in Lokoja.
Obasun said the appointment reflected Ododo’s leadership capacity, organizational skills and commitment to the All Progressives Congress.
He also commended the governor’s designation as the Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, Ododo’s dual roles would strengthen grassroots mobilization and increase support for Tinubu across the state.
Obasun said the governor had demonstrated a strong commitment to peace, unity and discipline within the APC, adding that the political structure built under his leadership was well positioned to secure a decisive victory for the President.
He said the appointment would further energize APC members and supporters to intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of the presidential election.
Obasun also credited the Tinubu administration with supporting projects and interventions in Kogi, saying they had strengthened cooperation between the Federal Government and the state.
He added that initiatives implemented by the Ododo administration had deepened the partnership and improved development across key sectors.
He identified infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and security as areas where both administrations had recorded visible interventions.
“These achievements will translate into increased support for the President at the polls,” Obasun said.
The coordinator pledged that members of the movement and other Tinubu supporters across Kogi would mobilize voters and work towards securing an overwhelming electoral mandate for the President.
He reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the campaign and sustaining grassroots mobilization across the state.
Obasun expressed confidence that Ododo’s leadership of the campaign would deliver what he described as a historic victory for Tinubu in Kogi.
