2027: Compare Our Records— Amaechi Challenges Obi, Atiku Camps Ahead of ADC Primaries

Former Rivers State Governor and African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Rotimi Amaechi, has dismissed allegations of political hostility from his camp, insisting that he and his allies do not engage in personal attacks.

Addressing a gathering, Amaechi, however, accused supporters of former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of dominating online political discourse with insults.

“Me and my people don’t fight anybody. It is Obi and Atiku supporters that are abusing everybody,” he said.

He challenged his critics to a direct comparison of performance across public offices, citing his tenure alongside Obi and Atiku’s time in office.

“I was Governor at the same time with Peter Obi, compare our records. Atiku was Vice President, compare his record with mine as Transport Minister,” Amaechi added.

The former minister used the remarks to defend his political record while pushing back against online hostility from rival political camps within the ADC.
