2026 WCQ: Insurance goalkeeper replaces Okoye, as six Eagles players report to camp

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have provided an update ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifier games against Lesotho and Mozambique, which are billed to take place this month.

Reports coming out from the Super Eagles started that Maduka Okoye has been replaced with Bendel Insurance shot-stopper, Omas Obasagie, who would now join the rest of the team in the camp.

The Super Eagles also asserted that 6 players, Jemilu Collins, Francis Uzoho, Kenneth Omeruo, Sadiq Umar, Leke Ojo, and Kelechi Iheanacho have all touched down in camp.

Nigeria will host Lesotho on November 16, 2023, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, then travel to Rwanda on November 19, to play Zimbabwe at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali where they Zimbabwe.
