Victor Boniface, who has missed the team’s double friendly games against a local team Gharib in Abu Dhabi and against Guinea yesterday and today respectively, has been tagged doubtful for Nigeria.

According to Oluwashina Okeleji, the Bayer Leverkusen striker picked up an injury during a training session:

It is a muscular injury, a source informed.”

Super Eagles legend, Sunday Oliseh feels that the absence of Bonice will pose a big threat to the Nigerian national team:

“I have watched Boniface closely all season, and he is simply an extraordinary playeHisHim missing AFCON will be a bad blow for Us. We need to have him fit at costs cost as he is, in my opinion, Definitely one of Naija’s best hopes!”

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was replaced last week after being ruled out of the 2023 AFCON through injury while the medical team still monitors Kelechi Iheanacho’s situations as things stand.
